Ahead of the Scottish parliament elections, we spoke to Màiri McAllan, lawyer, activist, and MSP for Clydesdale.

A former solicitor and Notary Public, Màiri has now been appointed as Minister for the Environment, Biodiversity and Land Reform.

Màiri is also a co-founder of RebLaw Scotland, a public interest movement based on the concept of ‘Rebellious Lawyering’ seeking to harness legal skills in the pursuit of social justice.

In our podcast, Màiri discusses her experience of being a young woman in law and politics and the role of lawyers in policy making.
