The Scottish government is inviting comments as part of the review of the code of practice established under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.  The Act imposes a duty on Scottish ministers to review the code periodically, with the last review carried out in 2014.

The Guidance for Adult Protection Committees, implemented in 2008, is also coming under review.

The purpose of the review is to ensure that the guidance in the code takes account of policy and practice developments since the Act was introduced.
