On Tuesday 30 August, the Hey Legal Social was back from its summer hiatus!

Edith Forrest was first joined by author Ewan McCall. Ewan discussed his new book, Solicitors to Scotland: Seduction, Sedition and Subterfuge in the Lost History of a Law Firm and shared some of the tales that were unearthed from three huge iron chests that lay in Anderson Strathern’s offices. The book can be purchased here.

Edith was then joined by Hey Legal’s Ally Thomson and Rachel Steer and Robb Marrs of the Law Society of Scotland to discuss some of the CPD opportunities coming up, including the Law and Technology Conference taking place on 20 September (which is free for members) and the Annual Conference taking place on 21 October.

There was also discussion of Hey Legal’s new online courses created in collaboration with the Law Society of Scotland – The Legal Tech for all Lawyers Foundation Course and Winning Business Online for Lawyers Course. The format is fast track learning for busy lawyers, 2 hours of CPD in 15 minute micro-lessons and a certificate upon completion. Book by 20 September to save 20% with the Early Bird rate.
